OPTIMUM IS CONSTANTLY STARTING NEW AND AMAZING PROJECTS THAT WE’RE PROUD TO BE A PART OF. ARCHITECTURAL GLASS IS OUR SPECIALTY AND NO ONE DOES IT QUITE LIKE WE DO.

Kevin started Optimum Studios in July of 1996. He was a one-man show and it stayed that way for a while during which his primary focus was art glass. Over time his interests grew and along with different opportunities Kevin started getting involved in architectural glass. Slowly but surely the team started coming together, Scotty came on to help grow and develop the business and the projects started growing along with many new relationships. After years of contracting our metal work out it became clear that both architectural glass and metal was something we enjoyed doing and wanted to do more of. Bringing Wade onboard was the birth of our metal fabrication department, which now affords us the ability to offer full architectural glass and metal packages for residential, commercial and furniture applications.

Since then we have added a number of team members to the family and consistently strive to grow, develop and challenge one another to not only becoming better at our craft, but better at doing life. Our success over the years is directly related to our team and their everyday involvement in our projects and process. Everyday we have the opportunity to collaborate with the most talented and creative folks throughout our community. We’re fortunate that our clients and piers share the same taste in minimal and clean design when it comes to all things architectural. We care about our clients and piers – to us it’s more than just a business transaction, it’s a relationship. Optimum Studios was and will continue to be built on relationships.

The Team

KEVIN WILSON

Kevin, the master, the guru of glass, started what we now know as Optimum Studios in 1996 and never looked back. He spends most days at the shop helping plan, coordinate projects and continue to develop Optimum Studios. When he’s not at the shop, Kevin can still be found onsite from time to time leading an install or measure.

SCOTT COOKE

When he’s not trying to keep up with his two small kids, he’s kept busy running Optimum Studios. There’s not a lot that happens inside Optimum that Scott isn’t involved with on some level. He brings an incredible commitment to the process and really enjoys creating and designing solutions for both architectural metal and glass.

CURTIS CLEVELAND

Curtis handles all the internal operations and communications that happen at Optimum Studios. He is solution orientated and always brings a positive perspective to any situation. Curtis really enjoys the creative process and likes working with clients to solve their problems. When not at work he can be found with friends and loves everything about baseball.

WADE HALBERT

Wade runs the architectural metal division at Optimum Studios. He has an exceptional amount of experience with not only metal but wood and moldings as well. Optimum keeps Wade very busy but when he’s not running up and down the stairs at the shop, he’s spending time with his wife and daughter.

KORINA MANALOTO

Korina has been with Optimum Studios longer than anyone. There’s not a single project we take on that she’s not apart of in some capacity. I’m sure there are days when it’s not easy working with all the fellas but she handles it well and we’re incredibly grateful for all she brings to the team.

KRIS ECKSTEIN

Kris is one of our lead installers and helps handle some project coordination from time to time. He has numerous years of experience in the glass industry both residential and commercial. An outgoing, approachable guy, when Kris isn’t at work, he’s living the dream in Squamish.

DANE GRIFFITH

Dane coordinates all the project schedules and orders, he lines it all up for everyone else to succeed. Through his experience over the years in multiple trades, he has developed an appreciation for quality craftsmanship and integrity. Dane enjoys nearly every sport and has been known to get seasick from time to time.

KEVIN BATHGATE

Kevin is one of our lead installers; he has an amazing ability to solve nearly any installation problem. He’s not a big talker but makes up for it with work ethic and smiling… seriously, he’s always smiling. Kevin enjoys eating out and trying new restaurants, which in Vancouver should keep him busy forever.

TOM CLENDENING

Tom… we like Tom.

CALEB JAMIESON

Caleb is one of our fabricators, it should also be noted that he has an unrivalled attention to detail and certainty. He’s truly a dedicated craftsman and brings his best to every project. Caleb enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible and is skilled in nearly every mountainous activity.

ZACH GERVAIS

Zach is the youngest member of our glass installation team and will always be the little brother. He’s very mechanically inclined making him an excellent installer. Zach has an ambition and zeal about him that is infectious at times, and his passion for our craft is something he brings with him everyday.

DAVID MOONEY

David has a strong background in design and brings that creative flavour to every project. He possesses a strong desire to always be better and improve which makes him easy to work with. David spends a lot of time with his wolf when he’s not installing glass… seriously, his dog looks and is the same size as a wolf.

ADAM LABOSSIERE

Always striving to learn and willing to lend a hand on whatever project is going on is part of what makes Adam a great asset to the team. Adam is a good glass installer and we’re happy to have him at Optimum Studios.

BRENNAN JOHNSON

Brennan, one of our fabricators, is as quiet as they come unless you’re discussing vehicles or motorcycles. He prides himself on his ability to pack lunches, typically consisting of two bagels. Brennan is a hard and dedicated worker that is currently looking at getting started in his second year at BCIT for welding.

JAMEL FADEL

When Jamel isn’t busy asking questions he can be found making CAD drawings or eating Wendys. He is also fantastic at making sure the coffee pot is never empty at the office. Jamel is incredibly eager and ambitious, he constantly pushes himself to learn and improve at his craft.
