Working alongside the good people at Hodgson Design Associates and trying to bring their beautiful designs to life required a great deal of communication, precision, patience and craft. The metal millwork had a black patina to give it that “old world, weathered” look. The pieces can be seen all over the house and are intended to be focal points, so the expectations were high from everyone involved. Some of the pieces themselves weighed a tremendous amount due to the solid steel used in fabrication, meaning the install became just as challenging as the finishing. All in all, I believe this was a project everyone at Optimum Studios was incredibly happy with.
